# Placing an Order

Once an order for an item is placed, the item goes through a  process of [Proof of Authenticity](https://docs.unikura.xyz/unikuras-token/proof-of-authenticity) to verify the authenticity of the product and check its condition. If there are no issues, a digital proof of ownership (i.e. the Unikura NFT) is minted on the blockchain to the buyer's digital wallet.&#x20;
